Frequently Asked Questions

What can I use NO-WET on?
Cars, motorcycles, boats, glass, chrome, fiberglass, etc. NO-WET reduces friction on skis, sleds and snowmobiles. When used on windshields, NO-WET causes water to bead and bounce off, practically eliminating the need for windshield wipers.

NO-WET can also be used for household purposes, such as cleaning TVs and monitor screens, shower stalls, man-made marble surfaces, windows, eyewear, etc.

How long will it take to clean an average-sized car?
You will be surprised at how fast and easy it is to use NO-WET. An average-sized car can be cleaned in 30 minutes to an hour depending on how detailed you want the car.

How much NO-WET will it take to clean an average-sized car?
If the car is fairly new or has been waxed regularly, it will only take 2-3 ounces of NO-WET. If the car is oxidized and has pollutants in the paint, then NO-WET has to work harder and will probably take 4-5 ounces the first you use it. If you use NO-WET on a regular basis, it will only take 2-3 ounces thereafter to maintain that showroom shine.

A Clear Coat Protectant was applied to my car at the car dealership. Should I use NO-WET?
Yes. A clear coat finish can still scratch. NO-WET will not scratch your paint. A clear coat finish can still oxidize. By using NO-WET on a regular basis, you will be adding valuable protection to your car.

How do I clean my motorcycle using NO-WET?
Simple. Just spray NO-WET on a 100% terry cloth and wipe the dirt away. Use a second clean cloth to buff to a shine. On larger areas like the gas tank, you can spray NO-WET directly on the paint, wipe the dirt away and then use a second clean cloth to buff to a shine. Be sure NOT to spray NO-WET on the brakes.

Will NO-WET turn my white boat yellow?

Will the Carnauba wax build up?
NO-WET is formulated to leave only a certain thickness of wax, no matter how many "coats" you apply.

Which is better-washing my car with soap and water or using NO-WET?
Without a doubt, NO-WET. When washing your car with soap and water, you are actually grinding the dirt into the paint and causing scratches. NO-WET encapsulates and emulsifies the dirt particles, lifting the dirt off the surface. When you wash your car with soap and water, you are only cleaning the surface. With NO-WET, you are adding protection.

I used NO-WET on my oxidized car and it left streaks. How can I remove all the oxidation?
Go back over the car again with NO-WET using two clean cloths. This time, when you mist NO-WET onto your car, rub in a circular motion and then remove the haze with the second cloth. You will be truly amazed-this simple technique can add hundreds of dollars to the value of your car.

I used two new terry cloths to clean my car and when I was finished, there was lint all over my car. Why?
NO-WET actually works as an anti-static. Since there was lint in the new cloths, NO-WET did not know where to put the lint, so the lint ended up on your car. If you buy new terry cloths, wash the cloths first to remove the lint.

If I use NO-WET on a regular basis and my car just has a light dust, do I need to spray NO-WET onto the car like I would normally?
No. If you have been using NO-WET regularly, just spray NO-WET onto a clean cloth and wipe the dust away.
